| “手办”是一个地道的中文词语，它对应的英文是“GK（Garage Kit）”，直译过来是“车库里的工具包”，意指设计师们天马行空的私人天地。“手办”的来历并不复杂：模型在批量生产前要先打样，这个样板就被称为“首版”；又因为第一版模型没有模具，必须用手工制作，所以又称为“手版”。模型制作者们经常为了表现自己的爱好，想法，或构思，制作一些不用于批量生产的作品。这些作品不但只有一件，而且是全手工制作，做工精细，工艺复杂。这样的作品逐渐流行起来，于是出现了专有名词“手办”，并逐渐风靡全世界。
“手办”常常与动漫角色，游戏人物，军事模型等有关，有时也会涉及建筑，历史，艺术，动物，植物等等。“手办”的题材不受限制，完全取决于设计师本人的喜好。制作“手办”不但需要扎实的美术功底，还需要复杂的打磨，拼装，上色等步骤。制作精良的“手办”不但可供把玩，还具有唯一性，所以经常被爱好者们珍藏。
这次展览的参展者有十几岁的青少年，也有三十几岁的成年人，他们都是“玩具”的狂热爱好者，他们平时躲在自己的“车库”里，而现在，他们需要一个展示自己作品的舞台。

It not only requires a solid background in the art to make “Hand-made”, but we need complex shine, fix and color, The refinement “Hand-made” are not only for play, but also unique and treasured by the fans.
The participators in this exhibition are teenagers and adults; they are all the big fans of “Toy”, they usually hide in their own “Garage”, but for now, they need a stage to show their works
